The process of dehumidifying air with solid adsorbents involves use of the properties of an agent with a high affinity for water. Our systems include a desiccant rotor based on silica gel (SiO2) or molecular sieves. These systems can be used down to very low humidity (-60°C dew point).

They have the advantage of being able to use energies other than electricity to dehumidify the air, such as superheated water, steam or gas with a burner directly in the air stream.

The presence of water in the ambient air has many consequences for the industrialists: the formation of condensation, the deterioration of the equipment, the loss of productivity, the deterioration of the hygiene conditions… The drying by adsorption is a process of dehumidification of the air using an agent having great affinity with water. We speak of a dehydration system by adsorption when there is the use of a solid hygroscopic agent.

The adsorption drying process is used in many industries, for drying after washing, production workshops, preservation in dry air, corrosion protection during downtime, etc.

The main benefits of dry air in industrial sectors:

  • Increased productivity and performance
  • Reduce airborne contamination
  • Reduce energy consumption compared to a ventilation or heating system
  • Preserve buildings and equipment
  • Provide a controlled atmosphere all year round regardless of external climatic conditions
  • Improve hygiene and safety conditions

DESSICA offers a tailor-made solution for the study and design, commissioning, maintenance and temporary solutions to all industrialists for the control of the hygrometry of their premises.
