It was the return of the CFIA to Rennes on its historical period in March and for an exceptional edition that celebrated the 25th anniversary of the event.

DESSICA : Air dehumidifiers – Revue de l’Industrie Agroalimentaire (RIA)
Thank you to the Revue de l’Industrie Agroalimentaire (RIA) for highlighting our air dehydrators with desiccant wheels specially designed for the food industry, in its February 2022 issue 841 Special CFIA 2022.
Air and water treatment in processes
The adsorption air dryer is used in any manufacturing, packaging or storage application as well as air handling systems where humidity is a concern. It operates by adsorption on a continuously regenerated high performance silica gel desiccant wheel. It is equipped with a stainless-steel casing, a PTC regeneration heater to eliminate the risk of overheating and an adjustable airflow potentiometer. These systems have the advantage of being able to use other energies than electricity to dehumidify the air, such as superheated water, steam or gas with a burner directly in the air stream. These products are highly reliable and maintenance is simple thanks to the access hatches. Dessica offers a maintenance service for air dehumidification systems, including replacement of all brands of dehydrating wheels, as well as optimisation and upgrading of installations.
DESSICA controls the hygrometry of premises and processes – Process Alimentaire
Thanks to Process Alimentaire for highlighting our humidity control units specially designed for the food industry, in its issue 1391 of May 2021 Special CFIA 2021.
Created in 1999, the Dessica cooperative is specialised in dry air techniques and its industrial applications for drying and dehumidification. It manages work environments and manufacturing processes. In a slicing plant, for example, Dessica has managed to maintain a low dew point to prevent condensation. In industrial baking, the company has installed equipment to prevent sticking on conveyors, ensure a constant hydration rate and reduce cooling time.
